A seam placed just below the knee is what shapes the leg into that rounded barrel line, fuller through the thigh and narrowing again toward the ankle. The hem is turned and stitched rather than left raw, so the edge keeps its shape.

Runs in sizes 27 to 31. The wide leg carries best with a fairly plain shoe, nothing too bulky at the ankle.
