A winter mitten from Hestra with quilted stitching that gives it a retro look. It is light but made to keep your hands warm. The fill is Primaloft Gold, a synthetic insulation that feels like down.

The outer is polyamide ripstop, a weave with a reinforcing grid so a small snag does not turn into a tear. It is windproof and water repellent, which matters most on a bike in January. Inside, a brushed polyester lining feels soft against the hand. A ribbed wool blend cuff closes around the wrist, so the cold stays out of the gap between mitten and sleeve.

Plain enough to wear every day and warm enough for a long weekend walk on a frosty morning. Available in sizes 6, 7 and 8.
